3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 handful cilantro, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup pineapple juice
4 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
4 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons honey
1 cup diced pineapple
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, combine ground turkey, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Form small meatballs (about 1 inch) and place on an oiled baking sheet.
Bake for approximately 15 minutes until golden brown.
While the meatballs bake, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, tomato paste, cornstarch slurry, honey, and diced pineapple in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until thickened.
Once baked, pour the sauce over the meatballs and serve hot.
