  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm milk and sugar; let sit until bubbly.
  2. Whisk in remaining milk, eggs, and melted butter.
  3. Combine flour and salt; add yeast mixture and knead until soft.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (45–60 minutes).
  5. Roll out the dough, spread apple butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar-cinnamon mix.
