  • 45 apples (cored and sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 23 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for tossing apples)
  • 2 tablespoons melted vegan butter for topping
  • 3 tablespoons apricot jam for glazing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch tart pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine chilled vegan butter and flour until crumbly. Add sugar and mix well. Gradually add cold water until a dough forms.
  3. Press the dough into the prepared tart pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides.
  4. In another bowl, toss sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and flour.
  5. Layer the apple mixture over the crust, drizzling melted vegan butter on top.
  6. Bake for about 70 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Brush warm apples with apricot jam before serving.
