  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup white sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ground ginger, salt, cloves, and allspice.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; stir gently until just combined.
  6. Chill dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  7. Roll chilled dough into tablespoon-sized balls and coat in a mixture of white sugar with cinnamon and ginger.
