Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour melted butter into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, vanilla extract, and sugar until smooth. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; mix until just combined.
  4. Spoon batter over melted butter without stirring. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the batter and pour hot water over the top without mixing.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and mostly set.
