  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 16.3 oz. refrigerated biscuit dough
  • Kosher salt
  • fresh cracked pepper
  • fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Sauté diced onion, carrots, and celery in melted butter over medium-high heat until softened.
  2. Cut biscuit dough into six pieces per biscuit and toss lightly in flour.
  3. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, sage, salt, and pepper to the pot; cook for one minute.
  4. Deglaze the pot with chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits.
  5. Stir in shredded chicken, heavy cream, peas, and bay leaves; mix well.
  6. Bring to a simmer before adding floured biscuit pieces on top without submerging them completely.
  7. Cover and reduce heat to low; cook for 15 minutes without peeking until dumplings are fluffy.
