  • 12 cooked lasagna noodles
  • 16 oz ground beef (85% lean)
  • 32 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente and cool them in cold water to prevent sticking.
  3. In a pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, add diced onion and garlic; season with salt, pepper, and oregano before stirring in marinara sauce.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with an egg, Parmesan cheese, 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, and parsley until well combined.
  5. Spread cheese mixture on each noodle, add meat sauce down the center, roll tightly, and place seam-side down in a casserole dish.
  6. Top with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella; cover with foil and bake for about 40 minutes. Remove foil and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
