  • 1 large yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the pasta in salted water until just shy of al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
  2. 2. Sauté diced onions in olive oil over medium heat until soft.
  3. 3. Add ground turkey, breaking it into small pieces; season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir in minced garlic.
  4. 4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well; then add chicken broth and tomato sauce while simmering.
  5. 5. Mix cooked pasta and half-and-half into the sauce until well combined. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
