  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes (with juices)
  • 1/3 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 pound uncooked potato gnocchi
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and chopped onion for about 7-10 minutes, breaking the meat apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and Italian seasoning; cook briefly until fragrant.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, broth, heavy cream, and uncooked gnocchi to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer; cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Uncover and continue cooking for a few more minutes until gnocchi are soft and cooked through.
  5. Stir in parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
