  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced fairly thin)
  • 1 large clove garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup apple vinegar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise into four cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; coat in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken cutlets until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet; add remaining butter and mushrooms. Cook until browned, around 3-5 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and apple vinegar; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add cream, return chicken to the skillet, and cook until heated through and sauce thickens, about 4-5 minutes.
