Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 teaspoons Italian seasonings
  • 10 whole cloves of garlic
  • 2 ½ cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (shredded)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt/Pepper
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • 1 beef bouillon cube (or 1 tsp better than bouillon)
  • 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce (can sub Worcestershire sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add butter and whole garlic cloves; sauté until golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the garlic and cook for about 1 minute to create a roux. Gradually whisk in chicken broth along with beef bouillon cube and soy sauce until thickened.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Return the chicken to the pan; simmer until heated through.
  5. Serve over rice or pasta, garnished with fresh herbs.
