Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and sauté minced garlic for about a minute. Pour in heavy cream and stir until slightly thickened.
  4. Slice the rested chicken and return to the skillet along with drained pasta. Toss gently to coat in the sauce.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with additional Italian seasoning or grated cheese if desired.
