  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 ½ cups vegetable oil
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 ½ teaspoons seasoned salt
  • ¾ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk mixed with salt for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the coating by mixing flour, breadcrumbs, seasoned salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Dredge marinated chicken in the coating mixture and fry in hot oil until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes per side).
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve with gravy and mashed potatoes.
