- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1/4 cup warm water (for dough)
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
- For Frosting: 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, 3 oz cream cheese, 2 cups powdered sugar, and vanilla extract
- Prepare the cherry filling by combining frozen cherries, sugar, water, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until thickened.
- Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and letting it sit until frothy.
