  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 (6 ounce) skin-on salmon filets
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or avocado oil
  • Juice from 1/2 a lemon

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix all spices to create the spice blend.
  2. Pat salmon filets dry and rub with melted butter or oil. Coat both sides with the spice blend.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add more melted butter or oil and sear the salmon skin-side down for about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Flip gently and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Remove from heat, drizzle with lemon juice, and serve hot.
