  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 23 large honey crispy apples, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
  3. In another bowl, mix vegetable oil, eggs, both sugars, sour cream, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.

  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. While cooling slightly, prepare the brown sugar icing by melting butter with brown sugar and cream in a saucepan; whisk in vanilla and powdered sugar until smooth.
